Bay Hills native Erik Storck has qualified for the 2012 Olympics

Bay Hills native Erik Storck has qualified for the London 2012 Olympics for Sailing! Erik, joined by his crew Trevor Moore, will compete in the High Performance Double-Handed Dinghy, the 49er. They just got back from the World Championship in Perth, Australia, where they finished 9th overall and sealed up the sole US berth to the Olympics in their class.

They now have less than eight months to go before the Olympics. They will be training and competing in multiple events between now and then.

They are responsible for a large portion of their own funding, and need to raise money in order to give themselves the best chance to medal at the Games.

Centerport Yacht Club will be hosting a fundraiser for the team on February 12. There is more info in the attached flyer. They hope to see you there!

If you cannot attend, but would like to donate to their cause, you can make a tax-deductilbe donation made payable to The Sailing Foundation of New York with Storck/Moore in the memo line. Mail to Storck/Moore Sailing, 26 Shore Drive, Huntington, NY 11743

More info can be found on their website; storckmooresailing.com.
